Howdy,
been lurking for a while, don't know a whole lot about TGM to post, but wanted to ask:

How dangerous is pivot cotrolled hands? I know it is an option in TGM, but it seems to be highly discouraged. Seems like a great way to focus on your pivot trying to look like Brian's most recent post. It creates great body positions. Noone seems to advocate this. Is there a reason?

If you have been lurking then you read all of the hands CONTROL the pivot posts. You will need to have a copy of the body to really understand TGM.
Now, no one says the pivot isn't important. Its VERY important. It does all the work, it moves the hands and club. But it only moves when and where the club has to go. The hands are the BOSS, the pivot is the LABORer. Sometimes the pivot gets a bad rap because some of us try so hard not to be pivot central.
Read Chapter nine, The Three Zones. The first is the body, the pivot. It is very important.

"This ain't no arm swing."
