Plane shifts

Ideal may or may not be a no-shift ,that's another question for another time), but which is better, using a TSP downswing as an example:

-a backswing above plane, dropping to the TSP for the downswing?

or

-a backswing starting below plane, moving up to the TSP for the downswing?

What are the pros and cons to each move?

None is better.

All are the same.

The theory about a ZERO shift will be BLOWN UP by science very soon.

I figured this out standing in a plane board and looking at the pics in 10-6-B Truned Shoulder Plane.
