popout

It can happen. And I think doing twistaway can feel like this. With a high amount of arch (of the l wrist- ala twistaway) there is a large differential between where the hands are going and where the clubhead is going. (clubhead sharply inside the hands)

Maybe also because your wrist, when you arch it, "pops out" (towards the target line) too? At least adding to the feeling...

I know he hit it good but...

Check out Trevino:

You turning the right hip sharp and flat going back? May need to keep the r elbow tucked AND closer to the right side of your torso too.

So birdieman should I feel like my right hand keeps realtively the same distance from my belt that it started with at address during the first part of the twistaway? What type of shots could a popout on the twistaway result in?

1st part: perhaps. In actuality you are not doing exactly that (though it could be close for the first bit back), but you want to turn your hips flat and sharply inside and you want your hands to come inside as well. Doing this hip move will aid you having the inside hand path, and vice versa.

2nd: not totally sure.

Though I would imagine you could hit anything from pulls if you hit down on it a bunch/come out of your tilt in the ds with your low hand too on top of the shaft (path to left) to slices and hooks. (if you tilt in the downswing/work your hands back to the inside, under the shaft)

It is a fine line. You don't want to take it back too inside either. But if you are a slicer it is probably best to err on the inside path.

I think this will help alot. I noticed at the range that my hands seemed to be popping out towards the target line causing the clubhead to get behind my hands and the club laid off at the top.
