The Rickie Sequence

I'd like to know the science behind straightening the left leg and the ability to turn the hips. It seems impossible or at the least much more difficult to turn with the left knee bent. No?

Let's try and study how much Byron Nelson slid, shall we? Semi-top down/face on video adequate at least in some limited respect?

If you're an SnT/MORAD you say straighten.

Maybe there's more shear force to be gained without the loss of rotational velocity by maintaining flex..? Maybe...?

In that vain

Foley's reaction is so genuine there. Like, "holy sh-t that's a smoked, high draw. Overdrawn, but whatever. Just smoked."

Underplane is more timing, because of face issues. Fowlers swing is getting out in front of him the entire way down. Great swing despite what any stat says. Remember, he grew up the little guy trying to sling it around for distance so they'll be those weeks where he hooks it too much. So what? He'll be around for awhile with that move IMO.

I read a while back that he has never worked with video. Maybe that's why he has an Arnie swing, one that is all his own.

Well there's the problem right there... without video how's he supposed to know he's swinging it wrong? First you have a bad swing winning 6 majors, now we're told Fowler doesn't use video.... when did the PGA Tour winners circle become amateur hour? Fowler's just one YouTube driving range "before and after" case study away from being really good.

And how do we even know Faldos swing was even good. I mean, really, it's not like he beat anybody. It was just his mental game. The hits keep coming from amateur central.

Meh. He was gifted 3 Masters, and chipped his way around the Open rota. Who among us couldn't do that? Of course nothing screams "I know what I'm talking when I talk about tournament golf" more than not playing tournament golf. Good times. :)

270 yards carry and roll would be career best for Joker LOLLLLLLLLLLL. But he hasn't hit anything but a range ball for the last 2 years into the same wide open place so he would never know. "I'm makin swing changes bro I shouldn't play"

And DJ at Pebble? What happened there? I guess the mental game mattered there, right? Model swing. Funny stuff. Two parts to having a model swing. One, it must look like the model. Two, you must be able to work the ball with your swing. You need both. It's not just freeze a few frames and call it a day. Jack said he didn't even care how his swing looked on video, just that it worked.

My pro told me a story I thought was pretty cool. He is watching Davis Love hit balls on the range at an event. He's raining iron shots on a flag. One of two guys standing there asks what club he is hitting. DL says 7 iron. Same guy to his buddy "I think I hit my 7 farther than that." Next shot flies 10 yards past. Next one 15 yards past. Next one 225 yards past. DL turns "I choose to hit my 7 iron that far."

Adios.
