I recently changed my shafts from Dynamic Gold S300 Sensicore to Project X 5.5. What a difference these shafts have made to my game. The ball flight is way different. The ball gets up quicker and has a flat peak to the trajectory and then drops like a stone and the ball stops close to the pitch mark. The flight is very penetrating . My old shafts had more of a rainbow type trajectory and were not as good for carrying trouble and stopping when shooting at tight pin positions with the wind behind. I have found the shafts to be a good half a club longer also. Project X play stiffer than Rifle. I would say about half a flex so PX 5.5 =Rifle 6 . So factor this in when purchasing these shafts . These suit players that take a divot more than a picker. They seem very tight , accurate and precise. I was first impressed by these shafts when playing with my friend at Walton Heath . he had just got the shafts fitted and I was using my dynamic Golds . We got to a Par 3 about 170 or so with a gale blowing from behind us towards the hole. The pin was cut close to a raised bunker on an elevated green. I hit a good shot that landed just right of the pin but the wind knocked down the shot and the ball ran across the green . my partner hit his shot the ball got up quicker seemed less affected by the wind dropped like a stone and the ball stopped close to the pitch mark. This really impressed me as I could not play the shot he had hit with my shafts . I then played a shot using his clubs and ended up with the same result as him . He hit my club and his ball ran off the back of the green also. Phil Mickelson uses the shaft as well as a few other pros .

One thing I have noticed is that the ball always stays close to the pitch mark. With the old DGs I would often get my short iron shots chewing back when shooting into the wind. With Project X there seems to be less spin when the ball hits the deck and as the ball descent is steeper the ball stays close to the pitch mark. This makes things more predictable IMO. If you can hit the ball and take a divot like Brian recommends go for these shafts . IMHO they are the best shafts out there.
