Pulling both ends of a rope

Does it mean when you start down that you pull down with your left and pull "up" with the right? Seems kind of odd, so I am not sure I have this right.

If you're referring to statement in The Golfing Machine, the reference appears in 6-B-1-D --- Extensor Action --- and it refers to the stretching of the Left Arm that occurs as a result of trying to straightenthe Right Arm. Extensor action is to be present from Impact Fix to Follow-through.

If you go to Chuck Evans' website, there is a video where Chuck loops a piece of rope around his Left Shoulder and then demonstrates how trying to straighten the Right Arm keeps the rope taught.
