Several months ago I posted this young guys swing and received some interesting comments.

He was just voted as the Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year.

IMO, this is a swing to be emulated.

BTW, I in no way am taking credit for his swing as I am not his coach.

Brady:

Since AK was on your site, I figured that you were teaching him as well! I would assume he practices out in Van Nuys as it appears that his video is shot in a similar place to the video of Ben Fox and yourself.

FL-John,

I have known him since he was 5. When he is in town we check his swing on video, but it is important to me that I don't claim him as a student because I am not his primary instructor.

pixie,

His intention is to stay. However, Whittenberg will probably turn pro and AK is a better player so?

Redgoat:

Quick questions on your own swing video. It appears from the top that your arms/hands initially start to drop vertically (not straight down but more down than down and out) until about 1/2 way down. It then appears that they start to move on more of a diagonal towards the inside part of the ball....is that just my perception or something you teach and/or concentrate on?

Brian---any thoughts on Brady's intial downswing move?

Man, your videos and pictures are great lessons!!...a question:
in your rear view of your six-iron sequence, how do you get your left
wrist flat from Pic #2 to Pic #3?...I am a lot like you in #2 and
am working to get where you're at in #3...I'll take your backswing positions anyday of the week...

mgjordan,

I don't remember that shot but normal 6 iron distance is 180, ball flight slightly right to left.
