Push hook with irons at will, can't hit driver straight to save my life.

So i've recently gotten into the game of golf, and thankfully found this forum and have watched all the pattern videos and read many of the posts on this forum.

I, like most other beginners, had a slice with all my clubs.. so I started with NSA.

That eventually got rid of my slice and I came across SD2.0.

I really enjoy how the SD pattern feels, so I"ve been practicing that swing over and over... So I am at this point currently.

My shorter irons are pretty much ALWAYS straight or a soft draw... When I get to my longer irons, especially the 4 iron, I hit a soft draw much of the time, but my miss is an extreme push hook.

Whenever I hit this push hook, I just remind myself to rotate my hips all the way through and maintain axis tilt and this usually cures the problem. But I still do have a tendency to push hook my long irons a lot.

so we get to the driver... Since my swing path seems to be overly inside out with my longer irons, I figured that I would have the same problem with the driver... however, that is not the case

I hit my driver straight once every 20 times or so.. Otherwise, my miss is either a shot that starts out well left then hooks a little bit or a shot that starts a little right then slices a lot (this is my most common miss with the driver)

Does this make sense to anyone? I am generally happy with my iron play, (even my 4 iron), but my driver is all out of wack. It makes no sense to me that I am able to swing so inside-out with my long irons but not with the driver. I try to use the SD pattern with my driver and have used the tips from brian's driver setup video.

One thing to consider. Modern Drivers, perhaps more than any other club, need to be fit to your swing. They are long, and the shaft flex characteristics can really create inconsistency.

First time I did a fitting, after selecting the best 6 head shaft combos based on indoor launch monitor, we went to the range. Blind test. He wouldn't share the numbers. It was clear when I came to the winner. Then he shared the data, and it was a match. The others varied, but the worst ones created
a left , then a right, etc.
