im 6'3 and use a 33 inch putter on my PING answr and a 34 inch on my Never Comprmise mallet with a flatter lie

shorter is better, if you like to hang your arms down, some don't...but I do. Putting is the best part of my game.

IMO, yes. I have always been baffled why golfer will get fitted for irons and woods but just pick up a putter and say 'that feels good' and go with it. Next time around they pick another putter out and it is different from the first.

My logic is if you use that club for 40% of your shots you ought to have it fit your body and your stroke.

Haven't figured out how size long and belly putters, seems this may be an area for some thought and improvement.

Agree with you. Have you seen the recent addition to putting equipment in the form of a kit that can change the grip weight and balance of your putter, in theory, to accomodate different green speeds?

If so, what's your take on it?

Keygolf: Check out http://www.davehicksgolf.com/ I have one of these putters. It was made up for me. The adjustable weight thing is fine but over time I got to dislike the shape so I changed it. I had a 32 1/2" Scotty Cameron Studio Design 1 made up with extra weight added to take into account the short shaft. I like the look and feel of it and that counts more to me than the adjustable weight feature.
