putting and pp3

I have used either the claw or belly putter the last few years due to an, ahem, over-active right hand. :)
I just went to putt at lunch and used a normal grip and concentrated on loading pp3 on the backswing and keeping the pressure on pp3 thru the stroke. While this was not under tournament conditions, it did feel very good and my stroke was very smooth.
Brian, does pp3 and lag pressure on pp3 have a place in the putting stroke?

not really, because with a putt, the face angle is much more critical than path, in any case, it is a 'slight' amount of inside back corner - on plane with the shaft angle at address

#3pp very imporatnt for putting.

Clubhead lag pressure should always exist, unless....for effect...
For putting, is it drive loading? For a small and low velocity backstroke, I find it difficult to drag load, even for chip shots.

i was just over reading some things on tgm.com and came across Yoda's explanation of pp3 and want to clarify. If you look at your fingers from the palm facing position you have 3 lines/zones - the knuckle, middle, and tip. According to Yoda, pp3 is the fleshy part from the knuckle to the middle. is this correct? I thought it was from the middle to tip. thanks.
still waiting for the "unless" explanation too please.

That is my understanding, although Hogan seemed to indicate that it was basically closer to the 'knuckle', and not so much the fleshy part (or at least that is where he discussed 'pressure' when talking about the grip (and on closer read, hints at lag IMO)

I'd say if you can feel lag anywhere in that first 'zone', you are on the right track
