Definitely problems with alignment at address for me. When I happen to align correctly - I am deadly with my putts. Working on this - would be easier if I were a left-eye dominant person. Alas, too often I miss many puts up to 3 meters from the hole.
Lag putting is not so big problem, 3 putts are happening but very rarely and mainly on curved greens. Reading of lines is rather good in my case, too. No yips, thanks God.

A good survey ! Cheers.

I agree with, and I'm much, like Dariusz.

Seldom three putt. If it's going to happen, it's usually because my first putt is above the hole and long on fast greens.

Lagging is no problem. Usually my partners tell me to 'pick up'. I read all putts from behind the hole, then walk them off, adjusting the backstroke for more or less on uphill/downhill respectively.

What's keeping me from be an outstanding putter is that I don't make enough one putts. I watch the pro's on TV and I'm blown away by their one putting ability. I've been practicing hard lately in the 12 to 15 foot range. (Seems that's as close as I can get my irons.) Working on chipping a lot to facilitate getting up and down.

Great survey.

Wow,
different kind of players on this forum...much more educated on their own games I think....the results are showing much more conciousness on reality.. that's good .
it's only when you recognise a problem accurately that you can hope to cure it...
Sorry about any typos here ...I am pissed as a rat...:D

Alignment

I voted alignment. For me putting is strictly about confidence and when I'm comfortable over the ball good things happen. I've made some mechanical changes over the years (cross hand w/ a center shafted straight back/through stroke) and I'm sure that's helped, but being able to start it where I want is by far the biggest key to my putting success/failure (not necessarily in that order! :p )

Some lines are crystal clear but many I can't see - even after I have watched the putt roll along them. That is pretty bad!!!

Thanks to everyone for participating...
The results are slightly different from one done on puttingzone, but that was from a far greater number and different kind of players, I think...
Keep 'em coming...:)
