The last few yrs I`ve lost my putting(yips). I tried many ways to get back to putting decent but cant. How many different ways is there to start the swing. Shoulder, breastbone ,hands(left to right just right) r forearm / You get the idea just which way do most of the good putters use. I`ve used l hand low for yrs but lost the feeling what can I use and do to get back on track. thanks ....jp

What you don't want to do is be overly focused on one body part. Instead you need a general awareness of each body part from your shoulders to your fingertips and how they might contribute to the movement.

Yips happen, IMO, when you try to make a joint do one thing(eg stroke tracks) and it doesn't gel with the rest.

Rather than getting long winded, set up with the toe of the putter against a wall or something, and then make some strokes. Get a sense of what moves what and then the general shape of your stroke and go from there.

This worked for me. Give it a try.
After I set up to putt, I focus on maintaining the ANGLE made by my LEFT FOREARM and the SHAFT, throughout the entire putting stroke. This is especially important in the follow-thru. This move requires the use of the shoulders (big muscles) to be done correctly. Try it.
