How do I practice putting withoout getting a backache? About ten minutes is all I can stand without the pain getting unbearable.

I really need to start working on it more, I 5 putted from about 35 ft yesterday, and 3 putted several greens

Hold the putter up level to the ground.

Make practice strokes, trying to keep the shaft level to the ground.

When you get really GOOD at it...

...go putt for 5 minutes and DO IT!

Great idea, Brian. This is also an excellent way to see how the right forearm works "in-line" with the shaft.

Do you mean with the putter horizontal out in front of you?
