Question about clubs with closed faces

I have noticed that as my swing has improved (Never Slice Again 2.0 is the best instruction) my hits with my woods tend to hook noticeably more than my irons. I have Cobra woods and my driver and 3 wood have closed faces. Could the closed face be causing this development. I have TM irons and do not have the same problem. I have tried opening the face of my driver and 3 wood but I do not like the result...a bad fade and occasional slice. My woods are a few years old so I have thought about upgrading. I am thinking I should find some woods that have a more neutral or open face...any ideas.

Thanks...

Closed clubfaces do in fact help encourage the draw and it also increases the effective loft of the clubhead through impact IF you are trying to hit the ball straight.

Best thing to do is if you decide to upgrade your driver is to go through the drivers at the store and keep going through them until you find one that sits down fairly square or at most 1* closed. A good clubmaker can open the clubhead to square or even open if you want by either bending it open or shimming it open.
