Question about grip

Hi everyone,

I was listening to a local golf show over the weekend and both hosts (pga pros) were talking about making sure the grip is not too tight. A caller phoned in and said his old coach told him to spread his fingers apart and use as much of the grip as possible to help reduce tension. The hosts agreed and basically said the hands being in unison is not the way to do it. Would appreciate any feedback on this.

Hmmm....

They are PGA Pros?

Then, they might be correct about what they are saying.

A non-PGA teacher saying this would have NO IDEA what the heck they are talking about.

Brian,

I think you are missing my point. Just because one is a pga pro doesn't necessarily mean anything. I pointed this out because I have never heard anyone talking about the grip in this manner. I just don't understand what they are trying to say. What say you?

Thx
