Question about Soft Draw

This is probably a really dumb question, but when I hear 'tumble the club' I think of the 'toss' from SD.

Are these the same thing or at least similar?

They aren't the same thing, but I think they are definitely related. If you have the right amount of tumble for your swing, you won't be forced to drag it left, which will allow you to utilize the toss.
