Question about throwing the drunk

Brain's newest golf magazine video reminded me of the throw the drunk concept. So while I was at the range today I worked on the left shoulder up and back move with descent results. Towards the end of my session I realized that on my back swing, the left shoulder barely moved. I was using mainly arms, hands and pivot to get the club to the top. I decided to consciously work the left shoulder down and back on the downswing. By incorporating this move it made throwing the drunk an effortless powerful action. Does it sound like I on the right track with adding the left shoulder move on the back swing?

Thanks for any help.

In reality, it moves up and back (behind you) as you tilt. Some people move it down and left (to your left) to start the downswing though, then tilt. Brian has talked about this move before, and sites Ben Hogan, Sergio, and Mike Finney, I believe.

Move the shoulders to move the hands and club as needed. It is a precise game. Oh man.
