Quoted from the website:
Algonquin Golf Club has a policy of nondiscrimination and no person shall be denied admission to the Club because of that person's race, color, religion, national origin, age or physical disability.

I wonder if economical means is a measure for membership.

the one link already posted will tell you pretty much everything. it is an old school, short, but tight and tree lined. the guy that hosts the local radio golf show belongs there and has talked about it. although short, it can be tough. slope is 131

That's a given. I have a customer in Kirkwood, MO. The owner belongs to Old Warson. I've played their 4 or 5 times over the years. Had dinner with my owner friend and his managers one time. The president of the club joined us. Forget is name, but he was a Dallas Cowboys tight end years ago. Got in the banking business, acquired a bunch of banks. Sold out for hundreds of millions. Great guy with wonderful stories.

Old Warson is a combination of very old money, and new money, bring plenty. Long, long waiting list. I would bet Algonquin is not quite as exclusive, but similar.

I've been told we will play on my next visit, but I don't go for anywhere for free. Belts are tight this year, so probably not happening anytime soon.

Hmmm, seems that there are many ways of skinning a Cat without violating anyone's delicate (and possibly litigious) sensibilities.:D
