QUESTION/THOUGHTS

What do you do when you think you are making solid contact with the ball (distance and direction seems correct) but you are just taking really deep and long divots?

Do you just play with it or try and fix the swing?

For whatever reason it just drives me crazy and I really don't know what to fix or how to fix it as I feel I am right around the corner from something much worse.

Problem is you have grooved a swing that does my 2 main things:

1) Goes the distance you want
2) Goes the direction you want

PS if that is REALLY true you better be one hell of a player

ANYWAY

If you try and shallow out your swing to alleviate the divots you are undoubtedly going to alter your AOA and probably path and then those two things will necessitate a clubface change as well.

So i guess it depends on how much you can really say "yes" to the my 2 things above.

You prob lag the club too hard and get narrow in the transition and your right arm expands to aggressively to dig those deep ones.

I am a solid 10, so by no means am I a hell of a player. However I do receive what I preceive to be sufficant distance (165 with a 7 iron). From the fairway and 165 yards I would say I would hit the green (not saying close, just landing on the green) 5 out of 10 times, with 4 pulls and 1 hosel rocket. So to your two points I would say yes to the first and not so much on the second.

Ultimately my thought is that every time I look down (even if the shot is good) I feel like I need to change something and it ends up creating a round or range session where every swing is different.
