Ramifications of not using the "Manzella Neutral" grip *gasp*

I was just watching the "Manzella Neutral" grip video a minute ago and it reminded me of some things Brian and I worked on in my last lesson. I had the club predominately in my fingers and we moved it more on an angle towards the heel pad (from index finger to heel pad - that angle).

Brian briefly mentioned that numerous compensations will need to be made with a grip such as mine in the lesson and in the video, but can someone be more specific? What are the challenges associated with a grip based in the fingers?

Great Question....

The clubshaft will be about 45° or so, to the left arm, at impact.

If the grip is TOO MUCH in the fingers, the left wrist needs to be MORE UN-COCKED at impact. Plus, the Right Wrist can't just work straight back and forth on itself.

Other than that...no biggie.

Could this also lead to thin shots? Off to the backyard I go.......
