Range visit last night.

Went to the range last night to try to apply some of the things I've been absorbing here over the past week or so. Along with the " flipper " video, pretty good stuff.

Started out trying to hit down and take divots. First two balls were shank city. I then put a ball about 2 inches from one of those range boards that the stalls consist of, and thought about my right forefinger guiding the sweet spot to the ball. Dang, that felt good. I kept on elongating the divot. Heard a lady behind me ask her husband; " Why's he hitting them out of holes? "

I've always had a bad pivot, so I thought " just lift it back with the right forearm. " I can't believe how much that straightend out my left, and using the underhand toss motion, how turned and on-balance my finish was. That's a place I've rarely been.

When finished, I played #18 and, hit my tee shot O.B., skulled a 5 iron, and thinned one into a bunker. Oh well. :)

Excuse my exuberence, but this is pretty exciting stuff. I think I'll hang around for a while.

Keep at it luke....just try to learn things in "small doses." Try to apply them the best you can and once you "get it" move onto to another thing to learn.

Just ask if you have any questions

You will make great strides with TGM concepts but it will not be overnight. I am now hitting some of the best shots of my life but still hit enough bad ones to get discourged. However, I have chippped in 5 times this year using what I've learned here - previously I had "never" chipped in. My sand game is awesome. Like others have said start with the short clubs and work backwords. Someday I hope to have the driver under control :>)

My enjoyment of golf has never been better..........at 52 years old I feel like I just discovered the "real" game of golf.

Thanks Brian and others............
