Ready to quit !

What do you do when your game is at an all time low and you get to the point where you can't swing the club because of negative thoughts ?

I've been playing for just over 3 years and have got down to a 15 Handicap and best round was 5 over. however over the last month my game has gone to pieces and I cant shoot under 90.

I'm struggling with the takeaway and plane and the whole swing falls apart from there.

Any advice or encouragement would be greatfully accepted as I am about ready to quit, well for today at least :(

forget all swing thoughts but 2...swing on plane, no matter how small the swing is, correct face.
hit lots and lots of chips.....

I agree with Cdog. Just a couple of months ago, my swing was just totally lost. I could do hardly anything right. I just went to work hitting chip shots and focusing on getting my hands trained to correct the clubface and slowly built my swing back from there. I still have some work to do, but I at least feel like I am on my way to 'knowing' where the clubface is and what it is doing.

Swing slowly, staying in balance, and keep your hands and chest in synch.

Try to hit your 150 club only 50-75 yards with a full swing and don't move on until you can do it, hitting solid shots.

Doug...practice hitting a 7iron out of small divots.

Swing ANY speed you want.

Don't worry about all of the above.

Tell me what happens...
