Right off of the bat. I post infrequently and am " Yellow Book" phobic.

Reading in this forum the posts by the moderator and Lynn B I am trying to used the hitting stroke. I find, however, that when "hitting" I tend to think "beat the dogmeat out of the ball" and in all likely hood I tense the shoulders and possibly slow the club. How can one relax and still Hit??

Bent right wrist and the pressure points is what you focus on. Don't do anything actively with your shoulders. They react, so you can let them feel relaxed as much as you want.

Good question, I would like to hear other thoughts as well. In one of the clips of Yoda. where he is demonstrating the 2 strokes, he talks about the action being heavy and deliberate (I think that was the words). Heavy would be a good thought

One of the keys to the 'heavy' feel is that the angle between the left arm and shoulder line stays in place during the 'first' part of the downswing. In Austin's terms "keeping the 7" - If you do this well, you will feel the 'heavy' feel AND be able to add right arm thrust properly. For me, a focus on hitting the ball with the back of the left shoulder and/or the front of the right, really helps get this 'heavy' feel while "keeping the 7".

I can't. All of my body parts become active throughout the procedure.
