Results of Towel Drill

I've been practicing this winter mostly indoors on a simulator and trying to implement the SDP. The computer has shown that I'm approaching the inside/back of the ball with a slightly open face. The result is some good shots that start right and draw back to center but too many shots that hang out and fade to the right.

I practiced today with the towel drill. My path became a little steeper (close to TSP) and impact was squarer to the back of the ball rather than the inside. My shots started a little more on line but still had a little fade. I had to use the "wedding ring up" swing thought aggressively to get the ball to turn back to center. My swing speed showed 97mph (driver) and usually about a 144 ball speed.

Are these typical effects from the towel drill?

Ive used the towel drill mostly to improve sequence and kinetic snap. Usually not with any intention of shaping path. But it may open your face, I might add.

OOPS.....I employed the "Towel as Plane Board" drill not the snap the towel move. I think that skewed your answer.

The plane board prevented me from getting so inside/out coming into the ball.

If you have Never Slice Again watch it. Try to lag the sweetspot: "drag a wet finger". It sounds like you have both path and face issues, this will help your face. I used to have the same problems until I saw Jim K.
