Right arm pickup

I have been incubating and practicing a more magical right forearm action. Heretofore, my right arm has been lost in space as I have been all pivot oriented without no forethought of where the pivot takes the power package, which has been behind me.. If you stood behind my right hip, I would crack your ribs with my right elbow. I am not going to sit here and go along with chopping wood with the right arm only, but activating my right forearm pickup is a sweet feeling.

I need guidance. I have been using a split grip to more isolate my right arm and right shoulder action. I esecially love a feeling I call stalling out, where the arm gets near the top,and says, "allright all below, be getting out of my way, cause I am folded, loaded, and want to land on top of that white ball down there. Right shoulder, take me there." HOw have others trained there right forearm magic, and am I far off? Thanks to all.

Buy a NERF football.

Work on throwing sprirals to a pal/kid/etc.
(skip this part if you already can throw it well)

'Set up' to the golf ball with the football in your right hand.
(your left arm can just hang)

Make a Johnny U. like move with your right arm as if you were going to throw the NERF into the golf ball.

Right Forearm Pickup.

Given all the questions around this topic I hope you can find some time to write an instruction article on it. Can anyone tell me an example of a good pro that does the right arm pickup well? Hopefully their sequence will be on Redgoats site.
Redgoat, if you read this, I bet your site hits went up with the swing sequences of Anna Rawson.

The shoulders should only turn enough to keep on plane. Most people want to turn the shoulders vs letting the shoulders turn to support the on-plane loading action. If you think of Brian's example of throwing the nerf ball...think of Johnny U...if he was throwing a fly pass, his shoulders would turn a great deal, but only because of the loading action of his arm. With a short pass, his shoulder would only turn a bit. I know we all want to hit the ball long and far, but the shoulder turn we make is usually off plane and faulty...let the hands be the guiding force!
