Right Elbow at Setup

Here is my question... Should there be some bend/flex/relaxation (whatever you want to term it) in the right elbow at address? This is why I ask. Recently I have felt that my shoulders are very flat at address. Leading to a reverse pivot and coming over the top. My grip has gotten weak and I hot these awful, weak cut shots. When I chip or pitch I keep the right elbow bent. My right shoulder is lower and consequently I have one of the most deadly short games. Should I be doing this throughout my game? (P.s. I don't know what got me into this funk swing or what I was doing before.) Thanks in advance for the help.

It is strictly an option that works for some and not for others.

One thing is pretty certain, it works better with high hands at address.

typically a higher right arm at address leads to less axis tilt at address and open shoulders too. Both of these can lead to very outside takeaways and reverse pivots. Notice i said the word "can", it's because it does happen to a lot of golfers. Try this little drill: take your normal setup you're now doing, then take your right hand off the club completely and play it next to your left hand that is already on the club. Now your shoulders should be relatively lined up as i'm hoping you have same length arms lol. Now put your right hand back on the club by TILTING to get their, don't "reach" for it. Tilt your spin and gently move your hips forward if needed to get there. You'll need the most with a driver and the least with a wedge.
