Is it ever advisable to push the golf shaft with your right hand (for right-handed players) during the release (in the impact area)? Or, should I only use the right hand to support the stability of the golf club during impact? Or, am I totally off base?
All your force should be toward you at impact.
No pushing is advised through impact.
Zero.
Stability only a factor in the rough or in a divot.
All your force should be toward you at impact.
Rear forearm/hand acts inertially during the release with all its mass. That's why Hogan wanted to have his rear hand 3 times stronger. No conscious action ever required since it will introduce a huge timing element.
Cheers
Where is the force coming from?
That's way, way, way, back on the arc.
I know you know this.
This cat was asking about THROUGH impact.
