Right Heel Down?

Is it imperative, important, or suggested that the right heel remain flat until follow through (both arms straight)?

Thanks much.

The right heel shouldn't be lifted off the ground; if done correctly the right heel will be "pulled" off the ground and no more than is required.

The right heel remains flat on the ground to at least impact fix for most of the better ballstrikers. I think Yoda's right heel is flat up to the point of both arms straight in the follow through.

Totally agree to the above, where most people are using the right (rear Heel) to push forward, where the right heel should be totally passive. The head turn and the rear heel lift is a result of the force pulling the body, just like we were on the SWING,when we are younger, while we let the force take us forward.
We transfer power to the swing, then when we reach the highest point, then we knee down and accelerate with the swing, and the minute the swing reach the bottom of the arc. the Swing still travel and then it swing up.....
Do we have to rotate, or the force take us round?

Mr. Chandler,

It is NOT imperative.

But, if you want to try something, try this:

Put the SAME amount of pressure on your right foot at impact as you are trying to put on the ball.
