Right side collapse ….

I’ve struggled with this for a long time, on the downstroke it looks like my right knee collapses, if my timing is off it leads to many fat or thinned shots. Can anyone diagnose my swing and give me a drill or the cure to fix this or point me in the right direction???

Here’s my swing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfE60VVhAOg

Thanks!!

It seems to me your right side sag is a chase move to avoid hooking. People who download the club as hard as you often have their club to ball before the left side has a chance to post up. Try letting the club "fall" a little while you post into that left leg.

just wonderin'

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion Doubled.
Do you think a more upright backswing would allow me to have more of a “fall” at the top of the swing and thus give me more time to get to the left side and to post my left leg??

Could it be way that you have found to get the right shoulder downplane ( to avoid running out of right arm and hence avoid hooking)...but it is the wrong way to go downplane... you need to get you left shoulder to go up as the right shoulder goes downplane...if your right shoulder goes down and the left doesn't go up...then you are dipping your right side.

Maybe...just a few thoughts...not pro advice! so take it with caution!

Hmmm...big change. I dont think it would be necessary. Im just saying ive seen a lot of "downloaders" not use the ground enough to load the club. They just snap it with their arms and then try to sag, or catch up with their lower body.

Video you requested ...

OK, it’s probably one of the worst swings posted on your forum…looking at it myself it looks like I have major flipper issues. Any input would be appreciated …

Thanks
