I wonder how long the shaft is on Rory's driver.

No. Ping 45 3/4, Titleist 45. Check out Darren Clark's driver. Appears short, less than 45". Commonly cited stat is that tour average length is 44.5".

yup, avg tour length is about 44.25-44.50

I'm going down to a 43.50 with a 7.5* head for my 'gamer' driver. Hitting my niece's 42 inch driver w/ 12* head influenced me to go back to a shorter driver. I was carrying her driver 260 right on the button each time.
