Either you or I didn't get his point right. That is how most pro's teach it, not Brian. I'll have to go re-watch that short.

Short isn't working :(

What you mentioned is how "most" pros play shots like that...brian doesn't and doesn't teach that way either.

Setup up square with your normal grip. THEN open your clubhead, THEN open your plane line to hit the shot straight.

Works great.

The thing I like about Brian's way is that the club feels in balance . When you open the club face then grip the club the SW feels out of balance and you can not get in tune with the shot. I also play fades and cut shots by rolling my arms right at address and again the club feels in balance and feels right. I used to open the clubface then grip the club and it just feels wrong. I understand Azinger plays bunker shots Brian's way. I saw a bunker article with Toms in a golf mag some time ago and he was demonstrating the open the club face then grip it method.

Brian : You must have taught Toms your way . Have you got any idea why he "Says" he uses the other method. You can not believe the trash in golf mags so maybe he does use Brian's method. How does DT play his trap shots?

I showed David my way to hit Bunker Shots a LONG time ago.

He tried it, hit all great shots, and thought it was too different from what he did (and what other's did) and decided NOT to use it.

But, he did, do 597 other things I told him to.
