Sergia = 2 balls in H20

What was better than watching Sergio shoot his wad after he rolled in that snake yesterday only to have Steve Stricker roll one in on top of his!!! AWESOME! Same thing happened to him at the Barclays when Vijay poured it in and took his win.

That was some of the best golf I've seen in a LONG time. Every match was exciting. Only problem is that I should have been studying. Oh well...

did you see Sergio stare at the caddy when he hit the ball into the water?? Like "That was a bad yardage" - it was the 4th day in a row he had played the exact same course! You don't have ANY idea? Then, after glaring at the caddy and acting pissed because the caddy gave him a shitty yardage, he hit ANOTHER ball into the water trying to carry it to the green. Do you blame the caddy for the SECOND one also? Sheesh, what a whiny baby. Until the caddy grabs the club and hits the shot, you are in control. Like a pitcher in baseball. The catcher "suggests" a pitch, the pitcher can shake him off. Sergio should have known what he was trying to do with that shot after playing all of those rounds. Don't give you caddy the stink eye and then hit another ball in the water.

It helps some people to blame others. Good for them. That's part of the caddie contract. I'll caddie for Sergio and I'll let him blame me for everything.

If you caddy for Sergio and he's blaming you for his poor golf, guess what? YOU WON'T BE CADDYING FOR SERGIO.
Until a caddy picks up the club and hits the shot, the golfer is in control. Good for them to blame someone else for hitting a poor shot? If you blame the caddy for a lame yardage after hitting a ball in the water, whose fault is it when you hit ANOTHER ball in the water? Sergio does not have the mental game it takes to be a great champion, not to say he won't win 1 or 2 majors. He is mentally weak. He is way too up and down during a round to keep it together. The Barclays is a perfect example. He rolled in a 30 footer and started blowing kisses and all that B.S. and then Vijay rolled one in on top of his. Mentally, he did not stay in the game. He should have expected Vijay to make his putt and think about how to play the next hole. He didn't have a chance to win the Barclays after that mental let down. Same happened with Stricker. Sergio rolls in the snake, starts yelling "C'MON!!!!" and Strciker rolls on in on top of his. Too high and then too low. He needs to stay in the middle.
Did you see Anthony Kim when he beat Sergio? He was walking to the next hole and he had already won! FOCUSED. He was dissecting the next hole. That is TIGER-esk. I think Anthony Kim will win a handful of majors, maybe more. He has the game between his ears. Mentally tough, competitive and a shot maker. He will be fun to watch for many years. AND I've NEVER seen him give the caddy the "that yardage was wrong" stink eye. Haven't seen Tiger do it either. Or Phil. These guys get their yardage and hit their shot. They know if they hit the ball the way they wanted to and they accept the results of the shot, good or bad. Sergio should adopt their approach.

I like Sergio, but the shit he pulled in singles manufacturing that stance was the same stuff he did against Vijay in that playoff getting relief from that tree. I cant believe these rules guys keep siding with him.

it looked like a pro wrestler trying to get out from being pinned by just barely being able to grab the bottom rope

Maybe thats why he really has two caddies and rotates?

I would agree. I'd bet Sergio feels he only has a caddy to carry his bag. Have you ever heard/seen Phil and Bones on the course? They have the tightest player/caddy relationship. Tiger and Stevie are pretty close, too. Sergio needs to find A caddy, ONE caddy. One that knows when to say something and when to shut up. One that knows every club in his bag and every shot he can hit with them. We all know Sergio has godly game. His putting is looking more solid, also. At this time, however, he really needs to stick with a caddy that he feels will keep him focused and mentally tough. And more importantly, take responsibility for bad shots as well as the good. These caddies are not flounders. They can give you a distance to the YARD calculating wind, slope, lie, weather, pin location, the lay of the green and angle of attack. They are truly amazing. I would love to see Sergio let go and start enjoying himself on the course. What happened to the young kid that hit that banana ball off of the tree and ran after it and took a hop to see it? I can't figure the guy out but I am sick of hearing all of the stories of him complaining how he can never get a break, how the golf gods are against him and mentally blaming his caddy for a poor shot. You want to talk about mental toughness? If Tiger was on the 18th at Winged Foot during the 2006 US Open, do you think he wins that tournament? Mental toughness. You know Geoff Ogilvy wouldn't have sniffed that trophy. What makes Tiger what Tiger is? It isn't game, alot of Tour guys have every shot in the bag. Tiger plain hates losing and does everything to impose his will on the course. Sergio needs to dig deep and find a way to focus and be more mentally tough. Until he does, he will never realize his full potential.

I'd like to see more players think like that. Some players rely so much on their caddies that its a wonder they have enough self confidence to break 80. Consulting with a caddy about yardage is one thing, but having them stand behind you while you setup and check your aim is bording on ridiculous and not in the spirit of the game.

It seems like every old great player has the same story about when their caddy told them it was a 150 yard shot and then handed them a 7 iron. The player then gets irate and hits a perfect 150 yard shot with every club in the bag(a practice round). However much of tall tales this common story is, this would never happen today.

Sergio has had the same caddy for about 6 years, Glen.

Sergia? Who is that? Oh, Sergia Garcio? The guy who couldn't even beat Camila Vijaygas in this week's PGO Tour Championship?

Did you see Sergio?? Not even 1 birdie until the 11th hole!! If he shoots par, he wins the tournament. Camilo was en fuego!! What a round! Camilo has more mental game than Sergio will ever have -
