Setup distance from the ball

I have had really good success recently moving a bit further away from the ball in my setup than that demonstrated in Brian's setup articles.

Are there any downsides to standing a bit further away or is whatever works ok ?

standing further away (but obviously not too far away) makes it easier to attack the inside aft quadrant of the ball.

And to expand on that, it makes it much easier to create axis tilt on the downswing.

More waist bend = less axis tilt needed
Less waist bend = more axis tilt needed

That's why with any club and any setup, it's easier to tilt with the shorter clubs.

Is that because their is more room created to get the right forearm on plane with the straight plane line?
