should there be an angle (cock the left wrist) at setup or flat?

should the toe of the club point up at setup or laying flat on the ground?

i'm not sure how to exactly explain this..

any advice would be great

thanks

Hey jenhoyen,
I dont Push down on the handle at set up, I like the handle to sit under the left palm pad and the handle goes across diagonally down towards the left index finger, if I were holding the club on the left hand this way and straighten the middle, ring and pinky while maintaining the index finger around the grip the club sits so wel,l I can bang the top of the shaft with my right hand and wont go anywhere very secure. In set up I like to see a little bend in the left wrist and a fairly straight right wrist with my hands a little closer to my left thigh not midbody. Someone may like the opposite. Now for the toe, if the lie of the club is ok for for you a slight toe up is ok, the shaft bends down on the downswing and may be flat at impact, but check with a lie board to be more certain, but the toe should not point extremely up at set up, if it is and the posture you use for that club is how you normally set up then check the lie of the club. maybe too upright for you. Or you may be bending too much at set up. if the club or clubs are too upright you may have heel deep divots for irons, unless you have found a way to avoid heel deep divots, if you dont take a divot then the grass will appear more brushed on the heel side. Hope this helps.
