Shanks Question

I used to hit 1 maybe 2 shanks on average per round. They dont bother me that much because I know I hit the ball towards the heal anyway. Over the past couple of weeks I have not been shanking at all and my impact has moved more towards the center. Is this a result of bending my right wrist to get a flat left wrist? That's all I am really doing different. I used to have a little cup in the left wrist at the top and not much right wrist bend.

Flattening your left wrist will help when it comes to closing the club face - or preventing it from getting too far open in the first place; which is the result of cupping it.
