I have seen recomendations that the shoulders should be a tad open at address 5/6*. Should they be square ?

It really doesn't matter at address....BUT,

If you have your right forearm close to being on plane and you KNOW that you are supposed to HIT THE INSIDE BACK OF THE BALL ON THE WAY DOWN, you would have pretty square shoulders.

Brian: Do you teach dead square shoulders at address? Are you very detailed in getting students into precise address position? Thanks.

Dragging the left arm.... i.e. the body controls the motion, dragging hands allow less likelyhood of over rotation of forearms (i.e. open clubface) and help keep you under, or on the plane, without lifting out and over it in the takeaway. It also helps the loading action (think crack the whip)

Because you can hit it farther AND straighter, if done correctly.

BUT.....

I teach PLENTY angle hingers. Ever heard of David Wayne Toms?
