Here's my swing. It looks like ace. My pivot has felt like crap the past couple months and it feels like I am a victim of internet junk swing. Any insight? The mats are rock hard and I don't like hitting down on them that much. The daylight one is from a couple months ago and the night time ones are from September before the junk set in.

I'll take anything I can get, as long as it isn't internet junk.

Hopefully not internet junk information: I like your wood swing out of those you posted only because your hand path was more vertical in the downswing. I would suggest that you get your hands working more down and close to your left hip into impact with your irons--it will also help to shallow out the angle of attack.

I've been trying to figure out how get my hands to get a little lower at impact with my irons because I get toe deep divots quite often. Does that sound right? I never really got my lie angles checked out (only been playing since last July) and these are the only clubs I've owned, but my misses are toe side. I call it my fake draw. I figure my clubs are fine and my swing needs the tweaking. So from the DTL this looks like a hand path issue?

I'll get a face on as soon as the tornado warnings and t-storms quit coming around every time I have a day off.

Here's a nice face-on. Note the acceleration through the ball and how I just mashed that little pill. This was from me learning how to hit 50 yard burning wedges. All jokes aside, this is a 55 degree wedge swing.

Dschultz,

Your off to a great start. If it were me, I think I would engage my pivot more in the backswing and get off my left foot earlier and that should encourage you to get the pivot going into the downswing. Take some balls and throw them and feel how your body moves athletically and employ that feeling into your swing. Let the weight of the club respond to the full-er body motion. Once you get that going in your swing let's see how that affects your swings geometry and go from there.

What is the ball doing? What I'd suggest is settting strong on the inside (shoulders closed at address). Make some backswings with little to no club face rotation? This would orient you to the INSIDE where you need to get. You might hook it a bit, but that would be the first step to getting better. Looks like your HSP is seriously left.

Here's the deal...the internet junk...I'm ALWAYS tinkering with the swing. Just experimenting to see what works and doesn't work.

Today I just went out and hit balls without thinking of much to see what was going on. I felt what felt like a more lateral move into the ball helped me strike it better. I always come VERY shallow through the ball with irons when I'm striking it well. It feels like a clean pick, or at the least, a very shallow divot that kinda just brushes the grass. My natural ball flight is straight to a slight fade, but I can turn the face over and get it to draw. I can hit drivers off the deck, if that helps you get an idea of how shallow I come through.

Do you have any face on videos. I would love to see you load your lead arm into your chest on the way down. Arms get to the ball pretty fast.....BEEITCH! (I saw you wrote that...thought it was funny)

so here's the dtl views. boy it felt like crap today. everything was right to left, fine, but sometimes it would go WAAAY right and come back. everything was a toe hit and I couldn't even get my pitch shots to not go off the toe. side note...i played after this and i couldn't get the irons to bottom out. i hit a good shot when it felt like i was just slamming the heel of the club into the ground. anyway, without further ado...

Are you sure that was beautiful contact? It looked about 6 inches fat.Is that the right video?

What I can see is the right arm straightening way too soon and you have zero right arm left at impact. You have casted into the ball because of that and a lot of fat shots will result.

oh my goodness the dtl looks awful now. internet junk in full effect. arms feel like they're just slinging through, just awful. no sense of the clubhead, just rare back and pray i make contact. gonna take a break from golf for a bit.
