So he got him to hit a half swing punch shot that probably goes 100 yards. That doesn't mean much. How about a full swing driver with no hitch?

Do you think that if Charles didn't have such a bad over-the-top move, that he wouldn't have such a bad hitch?

Equipment and flexibility

1. He needs to be fitted properly to new clubs

2. He isn't flexible enough to make a better/longer swing.

He could take that swing to the bank in those celebrity tourneys and with his buds.

Mr. Dunigan! Welcome to the forum! I watched your video. I noticed that theres another You tube video of Charles being "fixed" by Robert Baker. It appears to have been made during a tournament Charles was playing in. Incidently he is hitting driver in that video without a hitch. Sooooo... Who "fixed" him first?

I have trouble believing that he was hitting half speed punch 7 irons 165 yards.

Good job.

I never for one second thought de-hitching Sir Charles would be hard.

Heck, any teacher worth their salt has done it several dozens of times in their carreer.

Yes, I have seen—and fixed—much worse.

John's fix came without any goofy ideas either, so good job, John.

I would have done it differnetly though, and I still think he needs more axis tilt, but that's why they make 31 flavors. ;)

The lesson was 2 years ago. CB is VERY strong. a 165 punched 7 iron is nothing special. Brian I would shortly have added axis tilt to get the ball higher in the air, but you saw the before video...One thing at a time. THe key is that I got him believing he could swing the club well again. Truly speaking, he told me he'd be back all summer and I told him I'd even caddy for him at Lake Tahoe if he was serious about getting better, but he went overseas to visit the troops, then his mother in law died, then one of his close friends died...some summer! He never made it back. I'm sure he's reverted back to his old move by now, but you saw the proof. It took literally 10 minutes to make the change. the rest was taking the move from chip to pitch to punch so that he saw how it fit in with the whole game. Easy stuff!
