Sliding hips crossline

Could someone please explain to me what this means exactly and how it is done? Does it facilitate hitting the inside aft of the ball?

The Hips move parallel to your chosen Delivery Line.

For straight delivery lines, the hips slide parallel to that line. A Swinger will use the Plane line. A Hitter's hips slides parallel to the Angle of Approach, which is cross-line.

For a curved delivery line (Arc of Approach), the hips turn.

Birdie man, I read that post after posting my question, oops. Brian, thanks for the very easy to understand explanation. I am having the hardest time swinging out to "right field", even when I practice swing very slowly. I wonder if I am combining some aspects of a hitters swing with a swingers swing, or if I am not bumping my hips far enough forward to initiate the downswing? Any thoughts?

exaggerate an inside takeaway...the more you take it back inside the easier it is to go through impact inside-out and out to right field.

Brian was making me exaggerate it to the point where i made the handle of the club brush my right thigh.

Well what's going wrong man?

Where to begin? hahaha. Upon examining my divots they always seem to be out to in (cutting across it) and I tend to fade/slice my shots. I have tried focusing on maintaining my wrist cock longer into the downswing and that helps sometime, I am just wondering if there are some "typical" flaws that lead to this problem. I often feel like my body gets in my way on the downswing and prevents me from hitting from the inside (i.e. inside aft of the ball). F.Y.I. I am tall (6'2) and built much like Adam Scott and have fought a flat backswing most of my life (the slapshot swing). I wonder if my compensations for a flatter swing over the years have got me programed to swing more out and around instead of in to out? Thoughts on programming more of a draw swing?
