Snead getting on plane in the downswing

If you look at this photo of Sam Snead starting down it appears as though the shaft is pointing some way outside the plane line. My question is; even given for a little parallax, how does he get that shaft back on plane later on in the downswing? Any ideas?

He played a pull draw. So he will continue to come "over it a bit" and play the pull-draw.
