Soft Draw pulls

I played a round the other day. I was happy with most of my iron shots although I have to make some adjustment because ball flight is drawing 10 yards or more than where I want the ball to land. I was also having some trouble with my driver, straight pulls.

i fix it with less strong grip. It's hard to say, i used to hit pulls because i swing out to in. Now i swing in to out. When i hit pulls now, It's mostly because my clubface issue.

Counterfall!!!

I find that with the SD pattern, especially for someone who has hit the ball right in the past, there's a tendency to start down too soon with the longer clubs and hit a straight pull. You must trust the counterfall.

What do you mean by counterfall?

Over Draws and Pulls with the "Soft Draw Pattern"

The first thing that you may want to adjust is the "arm release."

Make sure you arm "dragging the arms" down from the top until late in the downswing, before you slow the pivot and let the arm release occur.

Secondarily, make sure your hips are far enough toward the target at impact—and far enough around.

That ought to do it.

Now, as far as "counterfall" goes....

"Counterfall" is simply the beginning of the downswing weight shift, that occurs as a "fall" because the weight was taken—correctly—off the left foot, and not totally ON the right foot, without too much head movement, and into some resistance from the right leg angle.

Thanks Brian, I will work some more on this pattern tomorrow at the range to become more consistant to where I am aiming. I did hit some great drives today during my round with some nice draw ball flight. It was really windy so being able to draw my drives into the wind is awesome. I also watched your driver video on youtube and picked up some great tips on there as well.
