SoftDraw toss question.

by habit i shut the clubface coming down into the ball. divot pattern is out to the right but ballflight is left. would getting the feeling and thought of the underhand toss as mentioned in soft draw help eliminate this premature clubface closing? just easy practice tosses inside has me thinking it will. i haven't tried it with a ball yet.

I would think "gathering up the marbles" to the finish as talked about in NHA would help more.

Thanks. I'll relook at that. I kind of imagine it's all due to an early release. From the old Croker stuff I have, i have what i feel an 'uncocking over' move rather than in line with my forearm which is closing the face. I'll try anything. Very tempted to take a lesson here, but just not sure who to see. No Manzella instructors in town and can't travel.

I find it helpful to practice the release but just taking enough backswing to get into the "release attitude position" as Brian mentions in the "point to the target" drill in SD.

You'll find out quickly what works and what doesn't.

Then you can let your backswing grow a bit while keeping it "complimentary" to what you want to do in your release.
