A bit odd of a way to describe it at first, but he certainly isn't 'wrong' per se. At least the right general ideas.
c21heel - this is from TGC, Craig Shankland talking about the number of accumulators to use for chip, pitch, punch motions in a round about way (and not quite complete).
He did manage to get a reasonable chip motion with a decending blow across in 10 minutes, although who knows if the student really 'got it'.
