brian gay

weird action courtesy of lynn blake

just about perfect pivot, plane and magic of right forarm.........what is so weird about that?

courtsey of LB my ass, brian has always striaghtened his legs through the ball....you really need to know what you are talking about before you go sounding like Peter K. and the CBS crew again.

And you need to realize whose house you're a guest at. This is the Manzella forum. Go sell your kool-aid somewhere else.

you think brian sets up with an exaggerated set right forearm flying wedge all by himself? you think his attempt to swing up and back down the TSP (which is ever so slightly flat IMO) is his normal action?

LB has been brians coach for a number of years and it shows.

i have done plenty of research into this particular area i'll have you know.

and btw, please do not associate me with Kostis and the CBS crew. i like to think i've been round these parts long enough to know just a little bit more about golf then they do

i would hope you do know more than Peter K.....no disrespect meant with the above comment.

Me personally I do not find the RFFW to be exaggerated.

but the leg action is not LBG solo by any means, that is what I meant.

I just really get tired of people slamming other TGM teachers and thier students. Of course we cant even talk about "this one's" student, which still claims Rob Aktins.....but we sure can slam others. bad form I say.

but instead of causing a big broo-ha-ha....I will just go back to reading, from time to time.

brians unusual leg action is all his own, that i agree. but i think the way lynn blake has got him setting up and the plane hes swinging only would work for a few players. hes found someone who the pattern works for, and brian is having a great season. could be a decent look for the Open considering how straight he hits it.

i dont like to slam teachers at all .... unless they're clearly doing or teaching something i dont agree with. i will not challenge LB's knowledge of TGM. but knowing a book cover to cover does not make you a good teacher

all point i agree with, like I said I am not here to argue, only to expand my own knowledge and try to present vaild questions to the answers I seek.

as far as Found someon ethat the pattern works for......well I just think that is the beauty of 24 peices with several variations in between.

as far as the OPEN, Brian's back locked up on him tuesday of this week, so we will see.

knowlegde of anything does not make you a good teacher, whether it be a book or a dopplar radar box, or whatever. Teaching is teaching and I think if we all look at Brian Gay, David Toms, and Steve Elkington there is LOT AND LOTS to be learned from ALL three swings.

Brian Gay could use a baseball bat and still make millions the way he putts and chips it. His accuracy keeps him in the game, his short game brings home the cash.
