Some tumble? Or something else?

Thought I'd post my swing and see if anyone can give me some advice?

My normal shot is a draw. My problem shot is a hook (with the driver sometimes an even worse, real flippy, short hook), and sometimes a push. Right now my handicap is 11,9, on its way down. My goal this year is to reach a single digit handicap. I think I have some idea on what to better in my swing, but I'd like to hear the thoughts of the best place for golf swing information on the internet :)

It works now. Not bad, I'll let smarter people give more advice. I see some issues with your pivot but I'm not good with descriptions. I'll be interested in what others say.

What have you been working on?

That early, flippy release for a young guy often can be traced to the "max arm swing, minimum body turn" move you have. You shoulders and back likely dont have a "governor" to stop your arms swing so you get really stretched out. This results in pulling too soon with your upper body instead of falling into your lead foot. Thus, your arms lag behind and you have to throw the club away to catch up.

Thank you Kevin! :) Let's see if I'm following... I should work on shortening my arm swing and using more arms in the downswing? Something I think I may need is a little more tumble to get my path more to the left, is that something I need? :)

Can you please tell us about the experience of your game? How did you find this game. And what are the benefits of playing this at professional level?
I would be waiting for the positive support...!!

Not qualified to comment on the swing (looks pretty good to me) but good effort on the video! Way more sparkly effects included than expected :)

Not hard at all with iMovie :p

....

I practiced some of Kevin's advice in the backyard, with lightweight balls. The feeling I had when it worked was turning my whole back to the target, and lifting my arms a tad. Is this right, maybe I should get some video...

I wonder, I'm kind of a sweep/flip releaser I think. And often have problems getting shaft lean at impact. I read in another thread that teaching a sweep releaser lag can be dangerous. So what should I do to get more shaft lean as a sweeper (yesterday my hands were right over the ball)?

Just as Kevin said, as you get stronger you'll get better. Right now the club is swinging you as opposed to you swinging it. You've got the right idea, stay with it.

Hey Kevin,

Dont you think if he would get more shoulder turn on the backswing it will limit is arm swing and get him more synced up in the downswing? For a young guy, he is turning behind the ball about as much as an old man would. Being tall and flexible he should be able to get alot more stretch in the shoulder and back area.

Yes, I can turn my shoulders a lot more... a couple of years ago my shoulder turn was a bit extreme, like 150+ degrees at the top. I've kinda worked on limiting it. But I've limited it too much now?

Yea, but JMO. Listen to Kevin's advice mostly, not only does he really know the golf swing, he can hit it with the best of them.

For me though, if your arms are traveling around your body the way they are without turning your shoulders and chest back, it makes it hard to sync them up on the downswing which is what every good player does. Plus don't forget, Brian stated earlier this year when talking about Project 1.68 findings, that the shoulder turn is a major source of power.

For me I turn too much as well sometimes which makes me move way off the ball. But if I make sure and open up my right side as I am turning my left side back I don't have that problem. Good luck.

good looking stuff.
It looks like your head is leaning right. I believe Brian called that a hooker's head (water coming out of the right ear) in NHA 2.0

Tried turning more a bit on the range yesterday, it felt like you'd need less arm across chest in order not to hook it, would that be correct?
