Five things I saw/experienced in sunny Florida...

5. TPC Sawgrass is the biggest rip in golf.

4. Tuxen operates on a completely different level.

3. Talking golf swing is not the same thing as being able to fix live.

2. I saw 13 feet worth of stack-n-tilt get "upgraded" by 5'8" feet worth of Tabasco.:p

1. Equal parts passion, know how, observation, Trackman, and a couple sleeves of balls can microwave choppy/hooky numbers (mine) into a pretty useful shot shape.

So many valuable things came out of the "classroom" sessions, but actually seeing them put into practice with real golfers with real issues and get real fixes was the highlight of the conference for me.

In fairness, I should explain the low marks. All the tournament tees were closed with nets over them. Nearly all the popular bunkers were roped off and marked as GUR (although they were in perfect condition). I'll be nice and not go into detail about the fore caddy. And the greens were maybe rolling at an 8. All this for the low, low price of $400.

I was so looking forward to playing THE Stadium, not some 6600 yard, roped off, whack-a-mole paced greens, with a caddy who's favorite word was "layup".

...now can someone please pass the tissues?

I love the Stadium Course

Reminds me of a quote from a woman pro after playing the fabled St Georges course in Toronto: "One of the best courses in the world".

Naturally, she shot the course record (still stands).
