Do you know how the Potato Chip was invented?
Aparrently it was an accident.
Ben Doyle's Inside-out cut shot is VERY VERY VERY different from Homer Kelley's....but....
IT WORKS BETTER (in my opinion).
Basically lets start with WHY someone would steer....The are trying to keep the ball from going left.
Slicers—my bread and butter—generally will not steer. They are too busy trying to bend the plane line to the left, so they can start their ball way left and PLAY THAT SLICE.
So Hookers try to keep their clubface and clubhead from going left....STEERING!
If you can get a Hooker to "swing left"...without Hooking....you are on the way to FIXing them.
So, without APPROACHing the outside of the ball—or the back—in other words the inside-aft quadrant...keep the face as open as you can and TRY TO curve it to the right.
Watch on Video.
You won't leak.
Now, Homer's way will work too....but.....it's a free country
