Still looking to eliminate flip

Been on the forum for > 1 year. Started with CFF and then SD pattern. I cherish the day when a forward leaning shaft is a given. Recently using more twistaway action with grip more in fingers, particularly left hand. Trying to create a sensation of dragging knuckles of left hand and hitting with palm of right hand. Seem to have a problem with overswinging.

Would appreciate thoughs and critics. Please be hard on me.

Thanks,

The over swing is a problem. You have a slow start then a quickish lift of the arms pulling you away from the ground leaving it hard for you to start the downswing from the bottom up.

That being said, your head drifts past the ball in the DS. You will have no chance of any axis tilt at impact. Your right arm will always try to catch up and dump it too soon.

Have you tried the "head back, multi divot drill" from COAFF?

I think you are focused on the wrong thing. IMO, you should work on sequence, which if improved will yield the desired result.

So look closely at your shiney belt buckle. The first things moving in your backswing are your arms. Belt buckle doesn't move until late in the backswing. It should move first because of right hip moving back first.
There have been several threads lately about right hip moving back sharply as the first move in the backswing. Search for them using
Google, site:BrianManzella.com "Pivot" , or the following terms: "Right Hip", Yellow Brick Road", "Piano Fingers", Lagging Clubhead Takeaway".

If you can learn the sequence, then can begin to develop some Lag in your swing which should produce that hands leading clubhead at impact result you are seeking.

By the way, pretty nice swing as is.

Thank you Kevin and Steve.

Will find some turf to extend some divots ala COFF. Will also get at starting with more right hip turn at takeaway. Appreciate the armsy takeaway observed by Steve which coupled to a whimpy pivot leads to an overswing. Subsequently, arms never catch up with the body. Will post follow-up.

youtube search impact snap device.I recently got one and it is teaching me not flip along with left hand supination and ulnar deviation

I e-mailed the inventor. And you can paypal him. They are working on getting a website up. What it is:

there is a weight inside that slides up and down and "snaps", to maintain lag just make sure it snaps at or after the ball.

He maintains what good is lag if you don't what to do to release the club.
So the ball on the end works like this. If you don't flip and keep your wrist flat or bowed at the bottom, and you supinate(release the left forearm down, and you use ulnar deviation, then the yellow ball touches the underside of your right forearm. If you flip, or don't release the club properly the yellow ball is nowhere near the reight place.

If you pm me,I can e-mail you the directions in a pdf, it's made a guy called Kelvin Miyahira. He has some really good golf instructions articles out there.
