Stop HItting Fat out of non-divots

I was at the range over the weekend....I was hitting it pretty well, but bad misses were a bit chubby. As I practiced hitting balls out of divots, ball striking was better, actually at times, much better compression and contact. I think I am either taking the right shoulder down plane more OR, dipping my knees (faulty) to get down to the ball in the divot. Either way, if I am dipping the knees as part of my pivot, would the nutmeg drill work the same?

As you hit the ball, your Left Shoulder should be moving UP and BACK.

The assist to this would come from your left KNEE going from bent and pushing INTO the ground to STRAIGHT pushing ON the ground.
