I strike the ball better if it feels my left wrist is snapping(unconsciously) at release because of a steeper , linear path of the hands.Narrow instead of wide. Heck, maybe I am even performing a left wrist throw trigger release.
However, I also strike the ball better if it feels like my left arm is releaxed and not necessarily straight on the way down. I believe that is the only way I can have my hands travel in a straight path from the top. Hands controlled pivot dictating a more relaxed left arm.
So from the top one should literally take the hands STRAIGHT downplane, not just a less circular path, but a literal straight line? Is this correct, that the back of my right wrist and my left palm should be facing the inclined plane as my hands go straight downplane?
I think I am starting to feel this linear path. Except my left wrist seems to want to cup on the way down despite all the best intentions. I have experinced some pain recently in my left wrist tendons because of the cold weather. My left wrist and grip might be too loose to accomodate my fears of snapping my wrist to oblivion. Pandora's tee box.
